About ACG

Allegiant Commodity Group (ACG) is a livestock centric group focused on execution and research in the Cattle and Hogs markets. Each team member has over fifteen years of experience in the business. The group has roots going back as far as Cargill Investor Services, to Drake Trading, and now ACG. In 2005, ACG joined Rosenthal Collins Group which had a large presence in the US Agricultural Sector. Marex acquired Rosenthal in 2019. With ACG a part of the Marex family, there are additional possibilities on the clearing side and risk management strategies including OTC products. With the combined resources, Marex provides clearing services to clients around the globe on the most actively traded futures exchanges.

We use our expertise to help customers on all sides of the industry, from commercial entities to the speculative and fund communities.  Our experience and network allow us to provide comprehensive insight to the livestock markets and its reports, as well as execution and clearing services.

TEAM MEMBERS

ROCCO DEFRISCO

Specialization: Cattle

Rocco began working in the livestock pits on the trading floor in the mid-1990’s, and joined this team in 1998.  He took over as President of ACG in November 2015 and focuses on the cattle markets.  He graduated with a degree in management from Missouri State University.

KEN MEEHAN

Specialization: Cattle

Ken is a native Chicagoan with over 30 years experience in the futures and options industry from financials to livestock.  He brings an added focus on the technical inputs impacting the livestock markets.  He graduated from Quincy University with a degree in economics.

NICK STANTON

Specialization: Cattle

Nick began working on the trading floor in 2008 and has been involved in execution and analysis of the livestock markets ever since.  As a resident of the south suburbs of Chicago, he attended St. Xavier University and graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 2007.

ERIC YOPCHICK

Specialization: Hogs

Eric has been in the livestock futures markets for over two decades, with experience from Cargill Investor Services and ACG (previously Drake Trading Group) and manages the hog side of the business for ACG.  He graduated from University of Illinois with an economics degree in 1996.

LORI PORTER

Research

Lori is an associated person of Allegiant Commodity Research (RCG GIB) and leads the research arm of the team.  She has been a market analyst in livestock futures for over 20 years and earned degrees from West Texas State and Kansas State in agricultural economics.
